BRIDGIT GOES HOLLYWOOD: Hollywood Records recording artist Bridgit Mendler accepts a certified gold single for her debut hit, “Ready or Not,” which she co-wrote with Emanuel “Eman” Kiriakou and Evan “Kidd” Bogart and appears on her Hello My Name Is… album, which went to #1 on iTunes. She’ll perform her new single, “Hurricane,” which goes to Top 40 radio on Feb. 12, on Live with Kelly & Michael March 11. that headline you just read is NOT a typo ladies and gentlemen. As you can see, according to the RIAA website, Bridgit’s debut single “Ready Or Not” pass the 500 K Sales mark on the 13th of last week! We are SOOO happy that Bridgit’s single is selling really well! Pretty soon, Bridgit will have her first PLATNIUM single in the US!! Congrats Bridgit!!
Bridgit’s Album Debuts at No 27 on Billboard Charts

I Would like to take a moment to congratulate Bridgit on her album’s debut! Debuting in the Top 30 on the Billboards is a VERY high achievement ESPECIALLY for some one who is still a relatively unknown artist, however, her sale count is not very great. I excepted Bridgit to at least have 50 Thousand Units sold after all the hard promoting she did these past few weeks. But, when your album leaks out MONTHS before its expected release, then, this is what happens to you. I am kind of worry for Bridgit now, because , wen your sales are THIS low, you can stand a HIGH chance of being DROPPED from your own label company. Hopefully , it won’t happen, but, Bridgit is already at risk of it. TWO: Putting out your album the same day as Taylor Swift [Who, by the way, sold over 900 Thousand Units her first week.] doesn’t help either. I feel really bad for Bridgit because I thought she deserved so much more than this. Most people who have listened to her album have all said that her album is very different than your usual Disney album. It’s not full of bubble gum dance songs like with most Disney stars it’s very soulful and quirky . A lot of people have even compared Bridgit to the likes of Adele and Natasha Bedigfield . So, it’s not quite like Disney albums. If you haven’t already , PLEASE go out and buy they album. Billboard Charting Success are based on CD Purchases and NOT itune downloads , so It’s VERY important that you go ut and GET THE ALBUM even if you have it downloaded already in itunes. Itunes Sales do NOT affect or help her albums go platinum or Gold. Those are DIGITAL sales and they are totaled differently from UNIT Sales.

Bridgit Mendler Explores Her Brainy Side

Bridgit Mendler proved she’s not just another pretty face in a live chat interview she conducted with Idolator.com Monday night as she discussed college plans, favorite books and her new album.
Mendler, 19, who plays Teddy Duncan on Disney Channel’s Good Luck Charlie, has a new album titled Hello My Name Is… which is set to be released Monday. The album features her hit single and video that airs regularly on Disney, “Ready or Not.”
Mendler promoted her live interview via Twitter last night, saying, “I’m going live with @Idolator in just 15 minutes!! Make sure you tune in here.”
After a series of questions about what super hero she’d like to be (Wonder Woman) and who is her favorite singer (Adele), Idolator got around to the self-proclaimed nerd inside Mendler and asked questions, submitted by her fans, which explored her more studious side.
Idolator asked what plans Mendler had for college and what subjects interest her.
Mendler responded, “Wonderful! I am attending college this next semester, so I’m really excited. I’m starting… I’m staring in the spring semester. I am planning on just taking my general admissions courses first, my GAs, so it’s going to be slow, to be honest, but I think it’s always important to go to college and take action in doing that for yourself. So, I’m doing it. I’m doing it slowly, but it’s happening.”
The site also asked Mendler about her favorite book. Mendler responded, “I really like This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I think it’s a cool description of a character. He really knows the guy and I don’t know if that’s because he sees a lot of himself in him, if the writer does, but I think it’s very honest and it’s just cool to see how he comes into himself.”
Finally, a fan asked Mendler who she’d like to have dinner with. Her three choices included Bob Dylan, Shakespeare and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Mendler said she will be back to acting in January 2013, filming the fourth season of Good Luck Charlie.
Mendler revealed last month that she is currently dating co-star Shane Harper, 19, who plays Spencer Walsh, her love interest on Good Luck Charlie.
